DIRECTIONS:
On-Scalp Application (1:2): Mix 1 scoop Ultra Bond Charcoal Clay Powder Lightener+ with 2 fl oz (60ml) Ultra Bond 20 Volume (6%) Developer; DO NOT USE Ultra Bond 40 Volume (12%) Developer On-Scalp.

Off-Scalp Application (1:1) or (1:2): Mix 1 scoop Ultra Bond Charcoal Clay Powder Lightener+ with 1 fl oz (30ml) or 2 fl oz (60ml) Ultra Bond 20 Volume (6%) or 40 Volume (12%) Developer.

For both On-Scalp and Off-Scalp Application: Leave on until you achieve desired lift. Process up to 60 minutes. Check every 10 minutes. Do not use heat. Rinse thoroughly with warm water. Follow with your favorite Ultra Bond shampoo and conditioner.

Strand test every 10 minutes during processing until desired results are achieved.

When strand testing, be sure to completely wipe the product off the hair strand to see true lightening results. Then don’t forget to re-apply Ultra Bond Charcoal Clay Lightener to the test strand.

A: Ultra Bond Charcoal Clay Lightener has the capability to lighten hair while simultaneously toning the hair.

Q: Can Ultra Bond Charcoal Clay Lightener be applied on hair colored with permanent hair color?

A: Yes, Ultra Bond Charcoal Clay Lightener can lighten and tone previously colored hair. However, do keep in mind the shade of the previously colored hair and the porosity of the hair will determine the amount of lift & tone you will achieve. We recommend strand testing to determine end color results.

Q: Can Ultra Bond Charcoal Clay Lightener be applied to the scalp?

A: Yes, ONLY when mixed with 20 volume Ultra Bond developer. Do not apply lightener mixed with 30-volume or 40-volume developer on the scalp.

A: Ultra Bond Charcoal Clay Lightener can lighten vivid hair color. However, the lightening & toning results when lightening vivid hair color can be unpredictable. We recommend strand testing to determine end color results.

A: No. Ultra Bond Charcoal Clay Lightener is designed to be painted directly onto hair without transferring onto the surrounding hair for specialty techniques such as bailage and ombres.

A: No. Ultra Bond Charcoal Clay Lightener is a powder that becomes a smooth creamy consistency when mixed with a developer.

Q: Can Ultra Bond Charcoal Clay Lightener be mixed with other lighteners?

A: No. We do not recommend mixing Ultra Bond Charcoal Clay Lightener with other lighteners, please follow the manufacturer's directions.
