Check out the steps below to learn how to create this old-school-with-an-edge look on your clients.

Here's what you need:

• Quantum
  Clarifying Shampoo
• Quantum
  5 Classic Volume or Extra Volume

Here's what you're going to do:

1. Part hair in triangular shaped pattern at front of head.
   Tip: be sure to zig zag additional partings to ensure blend at scalp area.
2. Starting with the front, place one bender wrapped to the right.
   Tip: Wrap can be done with all benders, aluminum foil or alternating benders and aluminum foil.
3. Place bender directly behind 1st bender moving towards back of head (One or 2 additional benders usually needed.)
4. Divide side into 2 vertical sections.
   1st section is wrapped toward the face.
   2nd section is wrapped away from the face.
   Repeat on opposite side.
5. Divide back section in half.
   Further divide each of those sections in half.
   Place 1 bender on right side behind ear, towards face.
   Place 2nd bender away from face.
   Repeat on opposite side.
6. Wrap nape area down.
7. Complete texture service according to Quantum® 5 Classic Volume or Extra Volume directions.
   *Tip: Quantum 5 Extra Volume will give fine, thin hair more volume.
8. To get final look, air dry or style with hot rollers or curling iron.
